We have dined at Kacy’s on many occasions and never been disappointed. They have a wide selection of items on the menu, so you are sure to find something for everyone. Meals when we visited were cooked to order and the seafood has always been delicious. Kacy’s is often the go to restaurant in Bargara for anyone looking for a special night out and receive consistently good ratings for their food.
Kacy’s is not the cheapest restaurant in Bargara, but the atmosphere and ambience make it well worth a visit. If booking ahead we would suggest seating that takes advantage of the spectacular ocean views. Kacy’s is one of the best places to eat Bargara has to offer.

Style of food – Thai / Asian, Vegetarian and Vegan, Gluten free
Thai is one of our favourite cuisines and the Red Chilli Thai restaurant serves authentic Thai dishes. It has a wide variety of dishes available including Thai salads, curries, stir Fried dishes, noodles, soup, and Thai BBQ. While Thai food is traditionally hot and spicy some prefer their food milder so our advice when ordering is to advise your preference.
For those wanting it hot you can specify from the menu if you prefer hot and spicy. Ambience is quite cosy, and staff are friendly and always helpful.
This restaurant is a short drive from the esplanade on the main road into Bargara and it is well worth a visit especially if you are craving authentic Thai food.

The Bargara Beach Hotel is in a prime location near the shopping precinct of Bargara close to the Esplanade. This Bargara icon has been newly renovated and is a popular place for locals and holiday makers looking for a refreshing drink either in the expansive dining / Bar area, or on the large outdoor deck. A wonderful place to unwind with great views of the surrounding area and ocean glimpses.
We always enjoy our visits to the Bargara Beach Hotel and have dined in the restaurant which has a wide selection of choices. Specials are available on different days which offer excellent value for money.

Rick’s at Bargara Restaurant Review

Rick’s at Bargara is located directly opposite the ocean on the Esplanade at Bargara. The location could not be better. The staff are always friendly and go out of their way to ensure customers have an enjoyable dining experience.
Seating is mainly outdoors to take advantage of the ocean views and protected from the elements with roofing and clear roller blinds for days when the weather turns windy or if raining.
The café is open for breakfast, brunch, and lunch 7 days a week and for dinner from Thursday to Monday. Rick’s Bargara consistently receives positive reviews on the service and quality of food and is known as one of the best Bargara cafes. Breakfast offerings are popular with many locals and visitors choosing Ricks Bargara as the go to place for that morning coffee and bite.
From Thursday to Monday the café transforms into an evening restaurant which is licensed till late and offers a broad selection of wine, local and imported beers and cocktails etc. Quality live entertainment is provided by local entertainers on the weekends, and the place gets busy, so reservations are suggested.
Food portions are generous and the atmosphere especially during the evenings when live entertainment is on, is lively and vibrant. The place to go if you are looking for a great night out and fun dining experience.

The Windmill Café Bargara Review

The Windmill Café would have to be the easiest café in Bargara to find. Just look for the Dutch style Windmill in the middle of Bargara. This imposing Windmill has long been an icon of the skyline of Bargara and is a popular meeting place for locals and visitors looking for a relaxing venue to catch up for a chat over coffee or breakfast and lunch.
Our favourite Bargara breakfast option is the smashed avocado washed down with a freshly squeezed orange juice.
The menu also has a range of healthy style dishes popular for those seeking vegetarian, gluten free or vegan dietary options. The café is open daily from 7am to 2pm however they sometimes close early. Overall, the Windmill café is a wonderful place set amongst a lovely backdrop of the Dutch style Windmill with a broad selection of food choice and great coffee.

Café On Bauer Review

Situated within the main Centre Point shopping precinct of Bargara virtually opposite to the Bargara Beach Hotel this Café is a favourite coffee and breakfast stop for many. It has a broad selection of food choices, and the portions are generous.
Due to its location, it is extremely popular in the mornings for breakfast and brunch and opens early from 6am daily. Plenty of seating is available either indoors or outdoors and staff are always friendly and attentive. Café On Bauer is also licenced and stays open to 9pm Thursday – Saturday. Drop by to try their gourmet menu and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.

The Bargara Golf Club is adjacent to the Bargara 18-hole Golf course and situated in the prime elevated location near the main Bargara swimming beach known as the Basin and has spectacular views overlooking the ocean.
This Bistro style restaurant in Bargara serves a variety of dishes catering to all tastes, dietary requirements, and budgets. It has an expansive indoor dining area and open-air seating to take in views of the Bargara coastline.
With bar area and club gaming options it consistently ranks as a popular place for either a relaxing drink or bite to eat after a round of golf or as a dining choice for those looking for a friendly club style setting within walking distance of beaches and the main shopping area of Bargara.

Situated within a small shopping complex one street back from the Esplanade, at the corner of Whalley and See Street is the Gillz Indian Cuisine restaurant. This Bargara Indian restaurant is quickly gaining a reputation for quality dining. It is open for evening meals from 4pm to 9pm Monday to Saturday.
For visitors to Bargara or those staying at one of the many local hotels, resorts or the caravan park looking for a top-quality feed from an Indian restaurant, Bargara has you covered with the Gillz restaurant.
The ambience of the restaurant is pleasant with plenty of seating and the menu is extensive with a broad selection of choices including curries, tandoori, breads, seafood, and rice dishes. When we last dined in the restaurant, we had a pleasant experience and found the prices comparable with another Indian restaurant we had earlier visited in Cairns. If you are craving a fix of Indian food, check it out.

Bargara Asian Cuisine Review
Style of food – Asian / Chinese
The Bargara Asian Cuisine restaurant is in the corner of the small shopping complex across the road from the Bargara Post Office in See Street. Plenty of parking is available nearby especially in the evenings. It is a favourite with the Bargara locals and offers a wide selection of Chinese dishes. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere, and the ambience is quite pleasant.
Unlike some Chinese restaurants this Bargara Chinese restaurant advises that they do not use any MSG in their meals. Gluten free dishes are also available on request. As with most restaurants take away is available and judging by how busy the takeaway section has been when we have visited, that’s usually a good indication that the meals are popular.
If you are looking for the best Chinese restaurant Bargara has to offer, then this Asian Bargara restaurant is well worth a visit. They are open for lunch and dinner Thursday to Sunday 11am to 1:30pm and 4:30pm to 8:30pm and on Monday and Tuesday 4:30pm to 8:30pm

Casablanca on See Review

Last but by no means least on our list of Bargara restaurants is Casablanca on See. This restaurant also features its very own craft beer section called 384 North Brewing. Bargara brewing of their craft beer is on site, and they have a range of brews to sample. Tasting paddles are also available. Well worth trying as you will be pleasantly surprised by the quality.
The restaurant at Casablanca on See and the Bar section is open for evening dining from 5pm to 8pm Thursday to Saturday. They also open on Sunday for breakfast from 8am to 11:30am. This Sunday Bargara breakfast is popular and often fills quickly.
The evening menu selections available for dine in and takeaway offer a range of Pizza and Pasta dishes. They have courtyard style seating protected from the elements with roofing and pull-down clear blinds if needed. This restaurant in Bargara consistently gets complimentary reviews for its food.
